HOW TEAM EAGLE

took flight

Team Eagle was born at The Eagle NYC in 2007.

It began when Rick Weber, Mr. Eagle NYC 2006, launched a personal passion into a shared mission.

Shaped by his own experience and the support he found at The Center, he brought that mission into The Eagle, rallying others to ride.

With the support of his husband, Peter Schwartz, Mr. Eagle NYC 2007, what began as a small group of friends grew into a community defined by visibility, endurance, and pride.

Since then, Team Eagle has raised over $2.5 million through Cycle for the Cause, supporting The Center’s HIV & AIDS services and LGBTQ+ programs.

We ride not just for the miles, but for what they make possible.

Rick Weber

Mr. Eagle NYC 2007

Founder | Rider/Crew #57

Rick founded Team Eagle during his year as Mr. Eagle NYC. Inspired by the support he found at The Center, he brought that mission into The Eagle, rallying riders and building what would become Team Eagle.

His leadership, generosity, and resolve shaped the culture we carry forward — visible, proud, and community-anchored.
