This is my first year riding with Team Eagle. My activism for HIV and AIDS began more than 20 years ago at the Central Iowa AIDS
Project in Des Moines. I am excited to be a part of Team Eagle and to be supporting The Center's HIV and AIDS program.
Like others I have lost friends and have seen other stigmatized by and living in fear with HIV; fear of losing insurance,
fear of side effects, fear of feeling limited in fulfilling your full potential, fear of getting sick, fear of dying,
fear of being alone and more. This year I ride to support The Center's efforts. By riding I support The Center's
prevention programs; especially those targeting our youth. By riding I support The Center's testing program. By riding
I am helping The Center support those who are living in HIV and AIDS so that they can live a life without fear and live up to their full potential.
I ride to make a difference. I ride because I care. I ride to help others who so desperately rely on the support that The Center offers.
