This will be my second year riding for Braking the Cycle and my first year of being a member of Team Eagle. Last year was a life changing experience for me, seeing the compassion and love my fellow riders and crew put out there not only for me but for those that we all rode for. I am excited to be a member of Team Eagle this year and look forward to riding 300 miles with them from Boston to New York.

I ride each mile remembering those that I have lost over the years to HIV/AIDS and to make a difference in the lives that are being affected by HIV/AIDS today. Each mile, hill, valley, bridge, rain storm, etc., that I ride, reminds me that those living with HIV/AIDS go through times of ups, downs, struggles, depression, etc., and that with help and determination there can be a positive and healthy outcome just as I can cross the finish line of the ride.

Center CARE provides support for people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. They offer individual, couples, family, and group counseling as well as a variety of events, speakers, and informal social gatherings for positive people and their loved ones. It is through services like these that those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS can live a productive and healthy life and know that there is a bright future for themselves.
