This will be my fourth year riding for Braking the Cycle and fifteen years living with HIV. It is my third year as a member of Team Eagle. As an HIV positive individual, I realize the daily struggles and the importance of having the services that the Center provides to those who are affected by HIV/AIDS. As the current Mr. Eagle I am not only raising funds for HIV/AIDS services but also awareness as well. Our fight against this disease and the stigma that goes with it is not over, but together we can be that much closer to closing the gap and that much closer to the END of AIDS.

The LGBT Center founded in 1983, is the largest multi-service LGBT organization on the East Coast. Since its founding, the center has provided critical HIV/AIDS services to thousands of people. The Center remains steadfast in the fight against HIV/AIDS. The Center provides support for people infected and affected by HIV and AIDS. They offer individual, couples, family and group counseling as well as a variety of events, speakers and informal social gatherings for positive people and their loved ones. It is through services like these that those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS can live a productive and healthy life and know that there is a bright future for them.

I ride each mile to remember those who have been lost over the years, and to make a difference in the lives that are being affected by HIV/AIDS today. Each mile, hill, valley, bridge, rain storm, and flat tire reminds me personally that those of us living as HIV positive individuals go through times of ups and downs, laughter and tears. But just as with the ride, I’m reminded I’m never truly alone and anything in life is possible.

Please join me in making a difference in the lives of those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS and know that by doing this, you are making the world a better and brighter place. Thank you for sponsoring me and believing that those living with and affected by HIV/AIDS deserve a brighter future.
