What a year this has been ...

As many of you may recall last year at this time I was suffering from a broken wrist which I received while training for my 300 bicycle ride between Boston and New York.

It took all Spring to heal and then all summer to train but last fall I accomplished something I never dreamed possible. I completed the ride, raised money for the LGBT Center in NYC and made a difference in peoples lives.

What happened next was even more amazing on a beautiful clear autumn afternoon I got back on my bike and you guessed it another accident. This time my front wheel got stuck in a crack on the NYC streets, the bike stopped and I didn't. The result a broken elbow, surgery and I am now the proud owner of a titanium elbow.

After a soul searching winter I have decided that it is time for me to get back on the bike and begin my training for this years CYCLE for the CAUSE. Many if not all of you must be shaking your head saying ... Why is he doing this? Simple - there comes a point in all of our lives when we do things not simply because we want to but because we need to.

I am getting back on my bike and moving past myself for a greater good. It may but not be smart, may not be something even I want to do but it is something I NEED to do. What I need you to do is reach into your hearts and pockets and help me help others.

The LGBT Center is an extremely important part of my life and a vital force in our community. The work the Center does is far reaching. The HIV/AIDS youth program, the diligent fight for marriage equality and their Senior programs all have a profound effect on the lives they touch.

The team, my friends and family all have made a difference in my life and I am asking you to help me making a difference in the life of someone less fortunate.
